Run For Inclusion 2026 is on Saturday 7 November at HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir, 900 Bedok North Road. The 12th edition, put on by Runninghour Co-operative, starts in the late afternoon. This year's theme is Togetherness.
City Nomads puts the field at about 2,000 people: Persons with Special Needs, caregivers, and everyday runners on the same reservoir loop. The point is not a personal best. Flag-off is 4pm for the 8km and 4.15pm for the 4km, so nobody needs a dawn alarm. The heat is already dropping by then, which is the real reason a reservoir loop at 4pm works better than another 6am mass start.
Relay, blindfold, and the 4km loop
New this year is a relay. Teams of four each run 2km. The Singapore National Co-operative Federation compared the format to HYROX-style legs. It is the simplest way for a school, office, or family to show up without anyone committing to 8km.
The 4km is one loop of Bedok Reservoir and costs $38. The 8km is two loops and costs $58. The relay is $88 per team of four. The Blindfold Run returns. Sighted runners cover part of the route with their eyes covered, guided by a partner's voice and touch, which is how Runninghour's visually impaired members train in a normal week. You opt in when you register. Past participants tend to call that the part of the day that stays with them, according to City Nomads.
Runninghour started as a run club in 2009 and became a co-operative in 2014. Weekly sessions still run around Singapore: Tuesday evening at the Sports Hub, Saturday morning at Bayfront, plus yoga and fitness near Stadium MRT. SNCF puts membership at more than 700 people, including PWSN and caregivers, and more than 450 volunteer guides. The 2024 race at Jurong Lake Gardens drew more than 1,800 people. The 2025 edition was smaller, about 480, at Singapore Sports Hub. 2026 puts the event back on the reservoir path many of their blind runners already know. A 2018 Straits Times piece already had visually impaired members training the 4km loop here with Runninghour.
Who gets in free
One thousand complimentary entries are held for PWSN participants, plus one caregiver each, while stocks last. Public registration is open at runninghour.com/rfi2026. JustRunLah lists the window as 4pm onwards. HoneyKids lists 3pm to 6.30pm for the wider event block, which matches a 3.30pm report-in before flag-off. AllEvents has 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Treat 3pm as arrive-and-bib time, not the gun.
Bedok Reservoir MRT on the Downtown Line is the nearest station. The clubhouse sits at the north-west corner of the water, so the loop is the same paved path used by evening joggers. Bring water. Runninghour is volunteer-heavy and does not stage this like a branded marathon expo. If you want a race where turning up next to someone who needs a guide matters more than a timing chip, this is the one on the east-side calendar in November.
