Digital for Life Festival 2026 is Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, 9am to 4.30pm, at Heartbeat@Bedok, 勿洛心跳, 11 Bedok North Street 1. Admission is free. IMDA lists the same Heartbeat weekend on its catalogue. The official festival site puts this east-side stop after VivoCity on 24 and 25 October. That HarbourFront weekend is already over. If you live in Bedok, this is the one that is still ahead of you.
Heartbeat is the civic stack next to Bedok MRT, the bus interchange, and Bedok Mall. Kampong Chai Chee CC, NLB Bedok Library, the ActiveSG pool, and the polyclinic share the same 7-storey building. The festival uses that building, not HomeTeamNS Bedok Reservoir and not PAssion Wave. Those sit north at the reservoir. Walk from EW5. Alight at Bedok Bus Interchange. Drop-off is along Bedok North Street 1. Park in the Heartbeat basement carpark if you must drive. The basement fills on weekend afternoons because of the pool and the library. The interchange is the easier arrival.
IMDA's banner for the 2026 edition is Play It Forward. The official festival page asks you to pick a path as a Digital Discoverer, a Screen Smart Superhero, or an AI Adventurer, then work through booths. Completing stations unlocks rewards. Programme highlights on the Heartbeat tab are Craft your Digi-Diet Salad, Make your Voice Heard, The Search is on, Help Find Bitty, and Friendships in the Digital Age. The Digi-Diet Salad Bar is the one children actually remember. You pick "ingredients" for healthier screen habits and leave with a bag charm. Bitty is a hunt on an interactive wall. Make your Voice Heard is the station where you can put down an idea for a digital-inclusion project. None of that needs a ticket. Walk in during the 9am to 4.30pm window.
Hours are shorter than VivoCity. HarbourFront ran 10am to 10pm. Heartbeat shuts the floor at 4.30pm both days. Plan the atrium for late morning or early afternoon, then decide whether you are staying upstairs for a library workshop. The festival page does not list a food-court takeover. Eat at Heartbeat, walk through to Bedok Mall, or use Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre next door. Bring water. The building is air-conditioned. The queue at a popular booth is not.
Bedok Library, 勿洛图书馆, is on levels 2 and 3 of the same building, units #02-03 and #03-04. NLB hours are 10am to 9pm, closed on public holidays. 31 October and 1 November are a Saturday and a Sunday, so the library is in its normal weekend window. Five free workshops sit in the Bedok Library Programme Room. Each one needs its own NLB registration. Some start after the festival floor closes at 4.30pm. Treat the library list as a separate plan, not a walk-up from the atrium.
Saturday 31 October has two. Can You Spot What's Real? AI, Deepfakes and Smart Prompting runs 2pm to 3pm, inside festival hours. Register at nlb.libcal.com/event/5976252. prAImer, Navigating Academics, Connection and Online Safety in the Age of AI, runs 5pm to 6.15pm. Register at nlb.libcal.com/event/5975973. prAImer is the parents' slot. It starts half an hour after the floor shuts, so you can do the atrium with the kids, send them to the pool or the hawker centre, and stay for the talk on AI and homework.
Sunday 1 November has three. Design Made Easy with Canva AI is 10am to 12pm, nlb.libcal.com/event/5976333, no design background required. Artificial Intelligence 101, AI for Everyday Life, is 1pm to 3pm, nlb.libcal.com/event/5974710. That is the long one if you have poked at a chatbot once and want a reason to keep using it. AI for Daily Living is 4pm to 5pm, nlb.libcal.com/event/5976471. A youth buddy sits with you and walks through communication, everyday information, and daily tasks on a phone. The Digital for Life photo for that session is a Youth Corps volunteer doing exactly that. If a grandparent already comes to Heartbeat for the polyclinic, that is the hour that earns the trip.
Register the library slots before Saturday. Floor entry stays free and walk-in. Do not mix the two. A LibCal seat is not a festival pass, and a festival pass does not exist. People's Association still describes Heartbeat as the 2018 civic hub with a walk from the MRT and the interchange. The festival is using that fact. You can finish the booths, take the lift to level 2, and be in the Programme Room without leaving the building.
